Fairy Tale
I want to believe in fairy tales, that there still may be a happy end.
In true love, happily ever after, forever lovers and best friends.
I want to find my superhero, that I may yet still be swept away.
Save me, pull me away from this hell, so I no longer have to be afraid.
I want to believe in miracles, open my eyes to the ones each day.
Not to the walls of this cold hard prison where I keep my feeling safely locked away.
I want to believe in the good in people, that more are good then out to hurt.
Instead of vicious liars and thieves, selfish cowards and perverts.
I wish I could just start over again, a little wiser than I was before.
One more chance to get this right, cause I can’t see the beauty anymore.
