Masculinity and Being Meek

"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth"(Psalms 37.11; Matthew 5.5).
Animals are either meek or wild.
Meek livestock tends to mean steers,
Males that have been neutered.

How does this relate to our human meekness?
Christ said, "some eunuchs are born or made that way.
But then there are those who make themselves
eunuchs for the kingdom of God's sake.
He who can receive it, let him receive it"(Matthew 19.12).
So, being meek is akin to being neutered, so to speak.

Masculinity, you could say, is like fine wine -
to be reserved for special occasions.
(Rather than resorted to on an everyday basis.)
Like with animals,
Eunuchness is the key to meekness
