I am in the the Autumn of my years
I have seen life through a veil of tears
The highest joys the deepest sorrow
Time has moved slowly to tomorrow
Grasping for the golden ring
A love that makes my heart sing
Dreaming of a place to call home
Finding beauty wherever I roamed
Green trees purple flowers red roses
The colors of life the fragrances proposed
The glory of rainbows the quiet of the stars
Rain washing away my fears alone so many years
Looking deeply within discovering
The truth lies hidden deeply inside
I thought I wanted true love but life taught Something more
complete than what I thought
A pure love unconditional and with
A deep abiding understanding
The joy and peace of simply giving
It does no good to search for someone to be true
One day when you least expect it pure love finds you
