Ode to my Shadow

You’re the only one who truly knows everything about me,
You know me better than anyone I know because to you I’ve confessed everything,
You’ve heard my secrets and the lies,
You’ve heard my prayers and my cries,
You’ve seen my sadness and my cage,
You know my loneliness of my every day,
You know my fear for the future and why the past I bear,  
You know the reason why the mask I wear,
You know my existence is a scam,
You know the fraud that I am,
You know reason why she left,
You know the reason of my shame,
You know how much I truly loved the one,
You’ve seen my pain of her lost,
You understand the tone behind my scream,
You know the reason why I prefer to stay in my dreams,
You know the motive for my rage,
You know why I rather live at night instead of the day,
I want to thank you for always being there for me since day one,
And I know you’ll be with me until my end comes,
In my will, I’ll leave you everything,
Because from me, life will get nothing,
I’ll burn to ashes so the wind can fade me away,
And you can vapor away and be released from my sadness,
