Wounds with no Treatment, Pain which does not Cease
With deadly fangs like silver daggers
Quenching its hunger upon my wounds
I bleed and bleed from every artery
And it smacks its lips with delight
Knowing that it will feast tonight
This beast is life itself, leaving pain
Before me it taunts the worldly goods
But only gives me its scent and nothing
And when my guard is down it bites me
It never relinquishes its prey but feeds
On my misery, as I work to survive
But it has no mercy upon me
How hard I try to escape but I cannot
Its grasp is tight and its claws pierce me
But for a few hours everyday
I am released from my cell
As I take my daily trip
To another foreign land
Where I dream dreams of harmony
And sleep but my pain will never cease
Quenching its hunger upon my wounds
I bleed and bleed from every artery
And it smacks its lips with delight
Knowing that it will feast tonight
This beast is life itself, leaving pain
Before me it taunts the worldly goods
But only gives me its scent and nothing
And when my guard is down it bites me
It never relinquishes its prey but feeds
On my misery, as I work to survive
But it has no mercy upon me
How hard I try to escape but I cannot
Its grasp is tight and its claws pierce me
But for a few hours everyday
I am released from my cell
As I take my daily trip
To another foreign land
Where I dream dreams of harmony
And sleep but my pain will never cease
