What would You Wish for in The Next Life?

I'd wish for :
Better parents,
Who were willing to hold their fears down
instead of reflecting them on their children,
Who would check on them when they were
being too quiet,
Who would let them believe in their dreams
even if it wasn't what they wanted,
Who would value their uniqueness and talents
and not crush them in cold fists,
Who you could turn too when life threw rocks at you,
and people hurt you in ways you never thought possible
Who weren't so wrapped up in looking "good" to the outside world
they never realized how fucked up they were
How they raised four beautiful girls?
Truth is, they didn't
We raised ourselves
And maybe we are better for it
But then, there are those times
you know, when you should be able to reach out to them
for them to take hold of the responsibility
of parenthood, because you need guidance, love,
and you sit at the end of the receiver
