Roll Over
In days passed
You would lie in your bed
Tossing and turning
Your dream catcher left you nothing to see behind those eyelids
In days of now
He lies with you
He lies to you
You would lie in your bed
Turning
Because you can’t stand the face you see
Not tossing
Because you couldn’t toss him
Not because the street is a cold place to sleep
No sympathy lies for that man
You and him are as far away as a king size will allow
You lie turning
Not tossing
Because there’s three in the bed
And the little one said
Roll over
You would lie in your bed
Tossing and turning
Your dream catcher left you nothing to see behind those eyelids
In days of now
He lies with you
He lies to you
You would lie in your bed
Turning
Because you can’t stand the face you see
Not tossing
Because you couldn’t toss him
Not because the street is a cold place to sleep
No sympathy lies for that man
You and him are as far away as a king size will allow
You lie turning
Not tossing
Because there’s three in the bed
And the little one said
Roll over
