What is sadness
If you could draw sadness, what would it look like
Would it be a colour, such as red or just black
Would it be a razor-sharp blade like the one still in my back
Perhaps just a tear would be all that it took
Perhaps just a whisper
Perhaps just a look
Could you taste it,smell it,or hold it in your hand
Or would it fall through your fingers like the finest grains of sand
Sadness at first does seem so harmless
All the better to disarm us
All the better to disarm us
So if you wish your soul to keep
Hold onto it tightly for
Sadness
Runs
Deep
Would it be a colour, such as red or just black
Would it be a razor-sharp blade like the one still in my back
Perhaps just a tear would be all that it took

Re. What is sadness
I think you're a special kind
of ink.
which make me wonder if
you gather your self then
draw.
I would love to see your
innerplanted piece,
as anyone can paint and be
it mistaken for vividness..
but feeling of its webbing
capture is a whole another
realm on its own.
You have a magnetism
about you.
And like this a lot. Thank
you for adding

Excellent thought and idea behind this write .
" If you could draw sadness, what would it look like "
the young dead in the trenches of war
books being burnt
erasing history to start it back at one
not learning from our own mistakes
forgetting how to Love while we're here in the now
not realizing regret now what laying in our hospital death beds will feel like
the blades, the whispers, the sand; rich imagery write.
well penned Kasai

Re: Re. What is sadness
Thank you, samael, for such a beautiful comment and taking the time to share it with me. This is a little rough compared to my more recent poems, but I've gotten alot of support and practice since then.
I truly appreciate the very kind visit along with your amazing words...
