Inventing Frolicking when Dog Walking

Two school teenagers
In the long grass
rolling around kissing
like they just invented frolicking

Not so long that I couldn't see her
stockinged thighs around his clothed
waist or the way she sat astride
face to face

Momentary in the scale of a lifetime
but she'd remember

I know because I did
as I walked past on the path
remembering just that
