What breaks the spirit:
True love. Can it be?
Or is it just a fantasy,
feeding into vanity,
Injuring my sanity,
doubting the man in me,
Soul is shouting out profanity,
is love just a tall tale?
From a generation now dead or frail,
That ship has set sail,
Now we need to blaze our own trail,
Cause all the meaninglessness is getting stale,
A hopeless romantic,
Heart feeling frantic,
taken for granted,
Hoping searching wishing waiting,
Wanting to be more then just your plaything,
Didn't just bring a heart to the table brought everything,
He, she, him, her, could describe anyone or anything,
Get trampled on so many times but there's still a life left to live,
It'll just be a damn shame cause that life will have nothing left to give.
