Made Me
verse 1-
Well I grew up
with the bible as my bed time stories
and i went to church every Sunday
but i drink on a Saturday night
and every now and then i need a light
we grew up in the mud
ain’t afraid to get a little dirty
back when we thought 30
was old
oh where did the time go
chorus-
growing up in a small town
you dont miss the city lights
cuz you’ve got a starry night
and you dont need a club
when you got the great out doors
i could never ask for more
there ain’t no traffic jams
and its ok to hug your old man
someone might say we’re missin out
but there ain’t no doubt
this is where i was meant to be
oh this town made me
verse 2-
ain’t scared of hard work
know its ok to cry
when you’ve been hurt
we plant the crops
bring the cattle in
hit a swimming whole when it gets hot
out here we make friends for life
even on hard times
we know it’ll be alright
we like a cold beer
and shot of whiskey
love when the night is clear
chorus-
growing up in a small town
you dont miss the city lights
cuz you’ve got a starry night
and you dont need a club
when you got the great out doors
i could never ask for more
there ain’t no traffic jams
and its ok to hug your old man
someone might say we’re missin out
but there ain’t no doubt
this is where i was meant to be
oh this town made me
verse 3-
you grow up and find your own way
but you carry it with you
every night when you pray
you thank the lord for it everyday
oh
chorus-
growing up in a small town
you dont miss the city lights
cuz you’ve got a starry night
and you dont need a club
when you got the great out doors
i could never ask for more
there ain’t no traffic jams
and its ok to hug your old man
