Ali, the G.O.A.T...
As a child with so little understandin'
I had no clue bout "the greatest who's ever been...
I was too unaware, of his standin'
all I saw in ignorant eyes was dancin'
never knew, the art of bein' smart
when viewin' the 'dance of death'
that in the ring, a bein' could
lose their life's breath...
As I gained a bit of wisdom, the
"why's" birthed my WISE-no longer
Dome-Dumb, it became clear
as crystal why he ruled boxing's
Kingdom... So as I've a life long
tendency to do, I observed his life
in review...
Though there were brutal wars, I
saw, I can see the beauty of Ali
through n' through... LEGEND
he was true, even more special
than the world knew...
Like a savant whose visionary
sight's denote...
Muhammad Ali...truly the G.O.A.T...!!
*a perfect example of the 'humanity
of this being' may he rest in peace. *

I have to exhale a long ass sigh along with Naajir. I was actually up moving about when the news broke of his passing.
I couldn't do anything but just sit for a moment with the tv on mute. #A nation mourns...
A wonderful tribute! I love the way you always pay homage to icons, Rich! Thank you for sharing this....xo

I hear you sweetheart, I didn't even realize he was gone until I saw back to back shows of him on espn, then I thought hhhmmm what happened... ?? Anyway, I do admit the people I believe make the biggest impacts on society n me personally move me to write about them. Thank u my dearest Rain...

Man Poetik, you did an amazing ode
on the man who ruled the ring.
It's always sad to see great public
icons leave us.

I know, seems like everyone we grew up with is gone/going... I'm aware that's life, but it just highlights the finite existence we all possess... Thank you bro. Truly n always grateful :)

Oh what a lovely and thoughtful tribute Poetik..indeed Ali was a fine example of walking the talk..he truly could "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee" May his works in and out of the ring forever inspire..RIP Champ:)
