Fox & Bear ~ Heartbreak
Dear Fox, I may need your advice
The thoughts in my head don't seem so nice
My heart has gone out to another
She's gone and I'm not sure I will recover
Bear my friend, you should be glad
And grateful for the love you had!
But to give yourself to something new
Is surely something you must do
A story of a bear almost like you
I shall now retell you true
Of love, this bear nothing knew
Until he met a flower blue
Never had he seen something so divine
Her aroma smelled just so sublime
He was enraptured, this he knew
That bear did love that flower blue
One day that bear had to leave
He went to the flower as if to retrieve
I said, bear please don't act in haste
Or your love will be a waste
She will wilt, and whither too
Her sapphire petals won't be so blue
She'll never again look to the sun
Your love will be why she is done
Bear smiled and said, Fox I understand
I must not selfishly play my hand
I love her so I must let her go
Because that means I'll be letting her grow
My heart still aches but I'll make it through
With the love I get from friends like you
One day I hope we meet again
I know I'll love her just the same
Exactly, Bear, you do understand!
Life often strays to the unplanned
Love might not work the way you thought
But think of all the lessons it taught
So worry not because I am your friend
And friends are with you, to the end
Don't give up on love just yet, dear Bear
I promise the perfect love is out there!
The thoughts in my head don't seem so nice
My heart has gone out to another
She's gone and I'm not sure I will recover
Bear my friend, you should be glad
And grateful for the love you had!
But to give yourself to something new
