There is a spider by the desk
I have named him Ted
If, indeed, he is a "he"
Too bad I can't pet him on the head
He probably wouldn't understand and try to bite me

I once tried to accommodate a small wasp nest-- and the wasps inside-- in my attic where I paint and sculpt. I thought we were friends... till I got stung.
