- - - THE FAITHLESS SPAWN - - -
I saw her falling in night
From heavenly spires of light
The stars reflected off her broken form
Her tattered angel wings, bleeding and torn
War within
When darkness comes
With ragged lips
On twisted tongues
Across the weeping streams of time and space
She shattered upon the Earth in disgrace
Her body upon jagged stones
The scattered remains of bones
I mourn the day without a dawn
Fallen to my knees, now come undone
In peace or war, a Faithless spawn
I scry the seas for what she's become
When your temples crumble beneath my fists
You will find yourself within poisoned mists
I am your shepherd of doom
To light the way beneath the moon
Faithless one
Lay on her grave
With black roses
Withered, decayed
Lost love splashed, scarlet, upon white walls
Sleeping dormant beyond the elder call
Do not trespass within my dreams
Nothing there is what it seems
"I slept with faith and found a corpse in my arms on awakening
I drank and danced all night with doubt
And found her a virgin in the morning."
I saw her falling in night
From heavenly spires of light
I mourn the day without a dawn
Fallen to my knees, now come undone
In peace or war, a Faithless spawn
I scry the seas for what she's become
"As the dancer whirls
She chants in a strange, slow voice
Quickening as she goes:
Lo! I gather up every spirit that is pure
And weave him into my vesture of flame
I lick up the lives of men
And their souls sparkle from mine eyes
I am the mighty sorceress, the lust of the spirit
And by my dancing I gather for my mother Nuit
The heads of all them that are baptized in the waters of life
I am the lust of the spirit that eateth up the soul of man
I have prepared a feast for the adepts
And they that partake thereof shall see God."
