Part 2 of a 7-Part Series: Daniel 7.8 as a Prophecy of the Coming RUSSIAN Invasion of Western Europe
Part 1 was about Revelation 13.7.
But that passage was an explanation of Daniel 7.8.
So if Rev 13.7 is important, so is Dan 7.8.
The "Fourth Beast" in Dan 7.7 is the Roman empire,
based on the fact that the 4th Beast succeeds
the 3rd Beast which was the Greek empire.
Since Rome conquered Greece and its empire,
The Roman empire has to be "the Fourth Beast."
But the Roman empire was rulership by one man, Caesar,
Each successive Caesar - one-man-rule.
But in Dan 7.8 there are 10 kings ruling at the same time.
So it, Dan 7.8, is definitely post-Roman empire.
So Between Dan 7.7 and 7.8 there is a gap of around 2000 years.
(Julius, the first Caesar, began ruling about 50 years before Christ.
And Dan 7.8 is set for 2016. So that's a bit over 2,000 years.)
As the Bible says, we are "to rightly DIVIDE the Word of Truth" (2 Timothy 2.15).
Dan 7.8 begins with the 4th Beast gone.
But by the end of that verse the Beast is back.
For 10 nation states of Western europe fall to a conqueror,
The eleventh horn("another horn") who "comes among them"(the 10 horns).
So rule by 10 kings is replaced by rule by one king,, the conquering king, of course.
That this is the sequence of events in Dan 7.7-8 is confirmed by the Book of Revelation
Which says,"the Beast..was, now is not, but will [return]"(Rev 17.8,11).
When John the Apostle wrote the Book of Revelation the Roman empire
still existed, so why does it say, "is not," in Rev 17.8,11 ??
Because John is carried by the Spirit into the future when the Whore exists,
"The Whore of Babylon," a rather harsh codeword for the Roman Catholic Church(Rev 16.19; 17-18).
