God has given us many paths to Her
The sufis wrote their way there
But I’ve been forgetting how to sing sometimes in the morning
Seems I fall flat, I fall flat, I fall flat again
And who is it that can tell me who I am?
All the books you read and the songs you sing in the shower
Ain’t gonna prepare you for what’s there…
Yea....but they kind of can though, right?
Like not completely but they still have real power…?
Its hard to remember it matters all the time what you say
What you put out in the world but...
But isn’t that what I GOTTA believe?
To take myself and what I do seriously??
Yes it touches souls… but what the fuck does that even mean
Take a magnifying glass to the most holy and it too becomes profane
Look at it too hard and
magic in even a sufi poem,
