Downpour for some...
Sometimes
gales
are as welcome
as
any summer breeze!
Flash flood for some
downpour for others
ask a survivor of deep desert
this is nothing
but a heavenly blessing
in all its glory
dousing the
scorched soul
as much as
the red earth
it crashes into!!

I got caught in a flash snow storm a couple of hours ago. outta the blue. there was hail in there too. I had a hat on so didn't really give a shit, just kept walking cool as fuck. people around me were diving for cover. I got much amusment
poem reads well, made all the more clearer by the comments. in terms of anything constuctive, ..a small thing, hardly worth mentioning:I thought the word torrential to be too much, not for the word itself but for its three syllables. downpour could do the job if you were of the mind. I agree totally with the comparisons and think you got your thoughts across to a reader"s ease
good day to you
"hat tip*

Hullo Hullo!! am ever so glad to have your presence Craic!
Appreciate you every single word of feedback. Hard not to agree with your helpful correction here. Yes that word does look in excess there.. Can't thank you enough! it does mean a lot here...
Hats off for your feedback! (just ignore the balding head ;-) )
Cheers!!

I can identify with this as a lover of rain - living in Scotland you have to be a lover of rain or a miserable sod - that's you two choices :-)
Nice write :-)

Awwe Thank You Dave!! Gimme rain any day except when The Ashes test matches are on... you got a very good eye there! Some day I wish to visit St.Kilda and other northern isles and spend a few days there..some reasons, rugged, windswept grey shores I do not mind. Appreciate your kind words once again!!
Cheers!
