Flood of Opinions

When you listen to opinions
You unlock your doors
Break the hinges
The words flood in like a river
Opinions drown those unprepared
No difference young man or woman
Some will float with the waves
No solid ground to stand on
Others will be carried away
Waiting to catch on
Others might sink in the water
Their tears flow miles long
To others be like that island
Some floaters may try and lean on
But that’s okay cause waves can’t sink
those who stand strong
Allow the waves to take sand
So others just might build on
Repeat this process indefinite
Spread your strength and live on
Without you the waters would conquer
Be the island and live on.
