QUEEN OF THE NIGHT
It was noon tide in harmatan;
And in the very middle of the night.
Oh the sweet hidden galaxy;
Shone in blur colors
As light from the brighter, cold Moon hit them.
The planets, made slaves of the skies,
And the Moon is Queen of the night.
And oh how beautiful it looks,
Her beam on the gentle waters.
I gazed a while
On her cold smile;
Too cold, too cold for me.
There came hovering over me,
A white shinny cloud.
And I turned away to you;
Proud Moon, Queen of the night,
In your glory afar,
And dearer your beam shall be
For merry to my heart
Is the proud part.
You reign in Heaven at night;
And more I admire
Your distant heat,
Than the warm, timid rays of day.
