Sore Places
She lies
Opened up like a flower
A tapestry of a million pieces,
Mechanisms that kept her waking
They're still now
The birds surround
The sweet, metallic taste of her life in the air
They tell me how I love to watch
How I love
The spotlight thumps
Onto the steel table
The halves of her lie open
She was smiling before
I tell them how I can put her together
Because I can
If I just hold the edges of skin together long enough
She'll wake up
Please don't leave me
I can't do this alone
Please
I can fix it
I can make it all better
I can cure your sore places
Wake up
Wake up
Wake up
Opened up like a flower
A tapestry of a million pieces,
Mechanisms that kept her waking
They're still now
The birds surround
The sweet, metallic taste of her life in the air
They tell me how I love to watch
How I love
The spotlight thumps
Onto the steel table
The halves of her lie open
She was smiling before
I tell them how I can put her together
Because I can
If I just hold the edges of skin together long enough
She'll wake up
Please don't leave me
I can't do this alone
Please
I can fix it
I can make it all better
I can cure your sore places
Wake up
Wake up
Wake up
