Heather's Monster
Heather
He took the smile from your face
Kept laying you to waste
Kept taking the angel's grace
Until you left that place
And
You let the bruises heal
You turned what he made you feel
Into a way to deal
And I'm looking at you thinking
Jesus
Angels gotta be real
But when I saw that fire
Your rage for that liar
I only saw it take you higher
I didn't know that it was going to be dire
Until you said you could either cry or aspire
To be more evil than the monster prior
You said all that effort was spent leavin'
And now you need to use it to get even
Give him a devil to believe in
So I said Heather
Just write it in a letter
That you don't send and you'll feel better
But you said that this endeavour
Needs to go on forever
And ever
And ever
And ever
And ever
Jesus Christ Heather!
You're becoming an angel of The Nether
And I hate to be bad weather
But your parade needs some rain
Cause there is no such thing as pleasure in pain
I knew the kind of man he was in his veins
Troubled past and other chains
So he became a bane
And you're doing the exact same
Look
I get that your soul was bared
And he turned you scared
But just know that the urge for despair is shared
Because when he came to the door and he said
That he slept in a lonely bed
I kept a cool head but I went read
Because I wanted him dead Heather
I straight up wanted him dead
But I stopped my beast from being fed
All because I am better than what I want to do
And so are you
You learn so many things after being abused
Like choice is nothing without something darker to choose
And you learn you can survive or add to the legion of demons
You learn you can survive or take someone else's freedoms
You can survive or you can take someone's smiles so the victim never see them
But
If you really want to get him back
If you really really want that immortal form of attack
Then let the ice he used on you crack
Let your talons retract
And show that hack
The strength it took to go home
Let your power be shown
And let it be known
That he is a monster
But he is monster alone

I loved your writing.
I wish my sister had the rage of Heather. But instead she stayed until she fled and never went back. I wanted that guy dead, but anyway enough of my sob stories, thanks for sharing.. I'm happy to have read it.
