Should I?

I'm not convinced that I
Have what it takes to create
A national earthquake
With my
Words

Is it worth it?

I don't believe
The art I put together
Deserves to be heard
For who would even care to listen?

Is it really worth it?

I mean sure some of those close to me
Think it's something I should do
But what about you? And you? And you?
Would you hear my voice as you read
Causing your heart to sing?
Or just fall upon deaf ears?
Oh that's my greatest fear!

I guess I will never know
If I never give it a go
So if even my words only touch a few
It'll be more that worth it to me!
Right?

Or will I get wrapped up in what critics say?
Not sure if it's worth it
But I'll try anyway
