It
It stalked her,
Though she ran it grew ever closer,
Though she fought it was in vain.
Though she moved it was as if she had stayed in place!
It haunted her,
Kept her running for dear life
Kept her fighting her energy strained.
Kept her begging from her knees for death.
It raped her
Robbed her of her dignity,
Robbed her of her innocence,
Robbed her of all strength.
It killed her,
Though she breathed air, she had only darkness to call her own.
Though she was of flesh and bone,
Inside a hollow abode.
Though she walked among man, appearing the same,
She was but a fragment of a wreck thrown across land.
Life broke her
A diamond lost in the ruff,
A needle buried beneath skin
A crow, black beauty, with broken wings,
Forced to live among man,
Forever in pieces across the lands.
Though she ran it grew ever closer,
Though she fought it was in vain.
Though she moved it was as if she had stayed in place!
It haunted her,
Kept her running for dear life
Kept her fighting her energy strained.
Kept her begging from her knees for death.
It raped her
Robbed her of her dignity,
Robbed her of her innocence,
Robbed her of all strength.
It killed her,
Though she breathed air, she had only darkness to call her own.
Though she was of flesh and bone,
Inside a hollow abode.
Though she walked among man, appearing the same,
She was but a fragment of a wreck thrown across land.
Life broke her
A diamond lost in the ruff,
A needle buried beneath skin
A crow, black beauty, with broken wings,
Forced to live among man,
Forever in pieces across the lands.
