Baby, I Couldn’t Sleep
.
I wanted to
whisper these words
in your ears
on the valentine
morning
instead
I stayed
awake the
whole night
watching
you
I watched
how the sun rays
peaked from the
half opened window curtains
and shine
on your hair
how the light slowly
chased out the shadow
from your head to toes
your skin is pale
paler than it used to be
its calm
and silent
with the
the aroma of
incense sticks
I’m still watching you
your curves on the bed
you haven’t moved
in a long time
I’m still watching you
sitting here
foot on the
edge of the bed
tapping the knife
on the table
to the drips
from your
hand
without any
thoughts
just
emptiness
baby
I just
couldn’t
sleep
.
