The Lover's Dilemma
I love you
Love you enough to hold your hand around anyone
Love you enough to write on the mirror before I go
Love you enough to write you a letter just for fun
But do you?
When you turn over without a kiss goodnight
When you forget to call to say hi
When it's been a while since I heard "I love you too"
When you're too tired to ask how my day was
When the distance is to much for me and I just need everything
When it hurts because no matter what I say, I can't be with you
I love you enough to find the right words everyday
I love you enough to hide the hurt and just say "hey" because an argument isn't what you want
I love you enough to let your call be my "I'll be back" to those who know I'll be gone a while
But do you?
When you tell me that it doesn't matter what I wear because you won't notice
When it's inconvenient to hold the phone because I won't speak
When life is between us and every other day feels like you're gone to me
I love you more than this life itself
More than the sun craves the moon's arrival to become night
More than the leaves require sun for their light
I love you
But do you?
This is a lover's dilemma
