Pits and Towers

Sorrow is a pit
Rage is a tower
And reaction is the ladder between
The pain we feel
The pain we hide
All the times we want to cry
Are the times that we find
That by and by
Both sides of the ladder are nigh
And we choose if we are to collapse so low
Or climb the tower of rage so high
The choices come
And the choices go
Yet one thing ever stays true
Rage is a tower
And sorrow’s a pit
Even if I don’t like it one bit
