Cthulhu reloaded

While in times before
We
Accepted
    Sacrifices
              Of
                Succulent
                          Flesh
Truly
Far more delectable do we find
Your
   Tender
          Human
                    Minds
Harvested sip by delicious terror-filled sip
We elder ones can indefinitely
Prolong the agony and keep
Our tables loaded
Our larders groaning
         (oh yes! That pun's intended)
We so enjoy your cries of woe
And knowing we're stocked up as well

Those times when you so inconvenienced us by dying in droves
Not by our design: bubonic plague,   for instance and any other pesky maladies not of our choosing
          Were so displeasing
But one thing you've always done so well is breed, breed, breed
We DO like that feature about you

So
  Breed
          Some
                 More
                       Young
                               Minds
                                      For
                                           Us
To feast upon and corrupt
This way the delicacies are never-ending
Each day abounds in new delights

We horrify
And terrify
Nightmares we sip from sleeping minds
Daylight no more ends the dreams
For we're embodied as you see
You come and worship trembling in awestruck terror at our feet (well, tentacles, Ahhh look, delicious terror sweeps 'cross your grimacing faces)
You bring sacrifices hoping to assuage the beasts (we know the names you call us) Care not. We eat.
The joke's on you; there is no satiation; we ever hunger...

So
  Breed
          Some
                 More
                       Young
                               Minds
                                      For
                                           Us
To feast upon and corrupt
This way the delicacies are never-ending
Each day abounds in new delights

The joke's on you; there is no satiation; we ever hunger...
