In The Woods~
I discovered a new world....
A place of forget me nots
And lush green
Where light chased shadows
And tree's dance with the wind
Wildflowers cushion my tired feet
And thickets hide the whistle of the sparrow
Little critters scurry along the leafy ground
And fill their cheeks to capacity
The birch tree's peeling bark curls into art
And the busy bee lives in the tree tops
I need this big wild place
And the sunset is born from fire
A place of forget me nots
And lush green
Where light chased shadows
And tree's dance with the wind
Wildflowers cushion my tired feet
And thickets hide the whistle of the sparrow
Little critters scurry along the leafy ground
And fill their cheeks to capacity
The birch tree's peeling bark curls into art
And the busy bee lives in the tree tops
I need this big wild place
And the sunset is born from fire

There is much needed serenity in this piece. That you are so one with nature is a beautiful, peaceful thing. I feel this same peace when in the woods or when reading Winnie the Pooh stories :) Brava bella Tommie!

I think many of us need a "big wild place " for no
other reason than to just sit and theorize and to
chill out. I know when I venture into Terrebonne
Sawamp where I live it refreshes me immensely!

I agree, standingmyground! There's so much more then just us. It's a big beautiful world out there, get up and go. Thank you very much 😊

I love the woods myself but I tend to get lost. Great job Tommie!
"Where light chased shadows
And tree's dance with the wind"
These are magnificent lines, catching the mystery. The trees can brood or celebrate.

Haha Crow. Being lost could be a good thing.
I never go into the woods prepared, always realize it afterwards. Coming up with a bunch of reasons why I should be (bears, fall down break my leg, get lost) I'm so glad to be one with nature that I forget about that stuff.
Thank you for reading me 😊
