"Please, excuse my friend..."

*this is a piece I actually wrote about 8 yrs. ago. Thought I'd post it, Becuz... I share like that lol*

The scene- Anywhere USA, at a small, 'hole in the wall' hangout
spot for the rough n' tumble
drinkin' crowd of partiers...

"So what? He yelled at you when you stepped on his shoe? He was trying his best to hold up that wall, where it suddenly grew! Yes, I know he’s a bit slurry with his speech.
It’s just that when he’s like this, he gets the sudden urge to preach.
Laugh, I know you want to and I can’t say that I’d blame you! As
anyone can see, in his condition?lookin' out for him I must, because he’s one of my homeboys only crew.
Though,  I’m the first to admit this
shit is really getting old! The liquor’s like his 'sister' n' got him so twisted, that he’s feeling pretty bold.
Thankfully he don’t drive...Ha ha!   (only because) he don’t have a car!
But, in his current condition? Bet
your ass he thinks that he’s a star!
Sometimes he handles himself sorta okay, then at other times he’s truly funny, even to me...Because let’s face it, you’d laugh too! If you ever saw n' heard him sweet-talking a tree! Why let him continue to do
this to himself? I  Hear it all the time!
Obviously he don’t start out like this, hell just an hour ago he was just  fine. But, you see, I got this call
(where he was tryin' to be coy)...to just come and kick it with your  boy!” So, I  had a quick bite, showered, n' dressed, then left n' picked up my other homie Roy. When we arrived at my homie's place, I saw it in his face, n' you could tell he had already been drinking! I started thinkin'
Oh shit, Lord here we go again
with this shit. Me and Roy just stared at each other , we knew what each other was thinking when is he gonna ever gonna quit!? Problem was we come to find out later, his girl had committed the ultimate sin! So that’s why I kindly ask you, will you please excuse my friend, you see she broke him n' that drove
him to drinkin' again."
