Can You Feel That?

Can you feel that?
Feelings of not being able to breathe,
An invisible rope around your neck,
Tighter the more you struggle,
Each passing minute seems longer than the last,
Nobody around to see you gasping.

Can you feel that?
The weight of an elephant on your chest,
Crushing weight, harder to breathe,
Heavier the more you struggle,
No matter how hard you try,
It won't let up.

Can you feel that?
The loneliness creeping back in,
So empty it seems are your days,
You can yell out for someone,
Your voice rings empty,
Echoing through empty halls,
Nobody is there.
Can you feel that?
