what you say is only one side of it. Yes, YOU are in charge of your life. but one can't make much of him or herself alone. "YOU are what YOU make of YOUR own life," you say.
But the way you make something of hour life is by finding OTHERS who are helpful (or who need help and are grateful for it). Finding PARTNERS worthy of joint effort - that is the big challenge, at least for me.
