Self Reflection
I feel like I've been here before
I've seen your face, in a forgotten memory.
Weren't you there the day I lost my faith?
The day I forgot who I was?
I could have sworn that was you
...no, of couse not, silly me.
You'd never understand the shadows
You could never understand my pain.
Impossible that it would be you.
Just a memory.
This side of the mirror is me now.
The girl I see in you
...she died quite some time ago.
Love, faith, blinding trust
Have all been lost to me.
I know you are real
But for someone else now.
For me...it's as though you never existed.
I've seen your face, in a forgotten memory.
Weren't you there the day I lost my faith?
The day I forgot who I was?
I could have sworn that was you
...no, of couse not, silly me.
You'd never understand the shadows
You could never understand my pain.
Impossible that it would be you.
Just a memory.
This side of the mirror is me now.
The girl I see in you
...she died quite some time ago.
Love, faith, blinding trust
Have all been lost to me.
I know you are real
But for someone else now.
For me...it's as though you never existed.
