Deception

Strength of mind
deceitful heart
the journeys end
is where it starts

merciless cruelty
unknowing pride
reveal the pain
they try to hide

unfocused eyes
on heartless games
they mock with laughter
amidst the flames

into the ashes
of men they've spurned
they throw their knowledge
of lessons learned

the female spiders
with angered cries
consume their passions
with poison lies.
