Family Annihilator
One moment
The time required to initiate my end
You penetrated the strongest walls of my defense
One encounter
My soul shuddered instantly
I ignored blaring alarms that serve to caution me
One person
You exploited all my insecurities
Searched for any fault there was to see
One promise
The one I'll never get to keep
Now that you have destroyed my family
You selfish bastard
You stole everything from me all that's left is agony
I surrender, I am broken, you have gained the victory

Faded Memories (of a child)
I know you don't remember,
But it was me that gave you life
You won't remember either
How I soothed you when you cried
You were too small to know this
But I taught you how to walk
I also had the privilege
Of teaching you to talk
Several times it happened
That when you had a runny nose
I took you to the doctor
And you always hated those
When your little face got dirty
I was the one that cleaned you up
I had so much fun teaching you
To eat from plates and drink from cups
...
But it was me that gave you life
You won't remember either
How I soothed you when you cried
You were too small to know this
But I taught you how to walk
I also had the privilege

The Stranger
These eyes!
I know these eyes,
I've kissed these lips I'm sure
Those ears, That nose
I know this face
I loved it once before
But who is this
Who wears them
I've never met this man
A stranger
Living in his face
Is holding out his hand
Should I accept
Familiar - Yet!
I'm not sure how to feel
His bedroom eyes,
Can not disguise
The pain he makes me feel
I know these eyes,

In anguish and love (Loving two people)
Danger and excitement
With my forbidden lover
Anticipating what's to come
When we're back under covers
Touch me, kiss me, control me
Slap me, bite me, choke me
Then comes the time for you to leave
Anguish grabs my soul
I'm engulfed in emptiness
Whenever you must go
The feeling never lingers long
I must be on my way
My fiance waits at home
He too, will want to play
Comfort and familiar
The man that shares my life
I know exactly who he is
And soon I'll be his wife ...
With my forbidden lover
Anticipating what's to come

The Cloud IS the Silver Lining
There was the switch
Like a fake pass in the fourth quarter
No one saw it coming
Well, maybe nobody
I'm sure no one would tell you if they did
"A shift in the weather" as they say
Rays of sunlight cascading through pale grey clouds
... Of course it's still raining,
She'll take it anyway
Could this be a glimpse of the promise
Holding on all these years has been tough
She stays hopeful...
Not really, hope has long been gone,
Still, she pushes on
...

Live Thoughtfully
Once a word escapes the tongue
it cannot be unspoken
And if a heart you carry breaks
that heart will remain broken
Every action that we take will have a consequence
Careless pain inflicted, how does that make sense?
Time keeps marching forward
It won't rewind for us
And once this life has ended,
We all return to dust
it cannot be unspoken

The Nothing: Empty of Peace
I sense as nothing moves past me
I breathe deep, hoping peace will be gained
I can't see the air, yet it's empty.
"I seek refuge from all of this pain!
I'm confused, what's this light? There's still nothing!
Can this Peace and the void be the same?"
"Does not chaos reign only in darkness, or can madness run wild in the day?
And this breeze on my face does not soothe me!
Surely somebody else feels this way?!"
The masquerade paint fades so quickly
from my mask Yes! That character's gone!
"This facade I can no longer...

Dear Last Night, Goodbye
I lost another night...."
"One moment I had it resting perfectly on my shoulder
Then a sudden wind blew and carried it out into the darkness,
AGAIN!!!......."
Next thing I knew, it was morning
Bits of paper scattered 'round
I worked 'til dawn on nothing
Yet to me, it was "So Profound"
Maybe the words I've written
Will reach someone, someday!
But for now, they'll just sit idle
Lonely words, left on the page
I'll say this! I'll miss the focus
I'm so creative when...

Betrayed Myself
Betrayed Myself
"Look at this! Look what you have done
Well, no turning back now
Your only choice is keep composed
You have to carry on!"
Insanity seeps into me
it slowly takes control
While raging thoughts of causing pain
become so Crystal clear
"Watch your temper, mind your tongue,

I'm betrayed by my own conscience
With things I do not want to hear
I yearn for numbness. Solitude.
To give my soul a break
Freedom from the self control
Release these...

Honestly, I'm kind of tired of censoring myself all day everyday so nobody looks at me in judgment....
