EMPRESS sublime  
 and  
 unlikely mortal    
somehow combine  
 to form something  
   Divine  
  
each physically
dwell in    
far-off place    
and
alternate times    
  
 experience    
and pride    
 lays forth    
challenge    
 of course    
and sacrifice    
  
SHE sees    
only one way    
 HERS    
its not alright    
 yet understandable    
in given light    
  
 the mortal  
left here to    
digest    
 what is best    
 for another  
and of course    
 himself  
  
 though given a head start    
 opportunity    
to lay stakes    
 in a halfhearted society  
 
 it was never for him  
now leaving a once precious other    
in between    
  not blind    
but not seeing    
 the same things  
  
 a Knight on White Horse  
  at the airport  
SHE only wants to see    
 yet there's oceans:  
  
one Earthly and vast  
 
 the other    
painstakingly dissecting the past  
  
 that struggles    
through the impossible task  
 to fairly work out  
   between he  
and a once precious other
 
   as the system grinds
