If
If you knew my emptiness
would you try to fill me in?
If you knew my desperation
could you make it a little easier for me?
If you knew the depths of my sorrow
would you find a way to make me smile?
If you suspected my loneliness
could you be there for a little while?
If you saw how dark my night was
would you light a small candle for me?
If you saw I run out of tears
could you wet my dry eyes with yours?
If you saw my pills were gone
would you realize I was at the end?
If you found me under that tree
could you pull the sheet up over me?
would you try to fill me in?
If you knew my desperation
could you make it a little easier for me?
If you knew the depths of my sorrow
would you find a way to make me smile?
If you suspected my loneliness
could you be there for a little while?
If you saw how dark my night was
would you light a small candle for me?
If you saw I run out of tears
could you wet my dry eyes with yours?
If you saw my pills were gone
would you realize I was at the end?
If you found me under that tree
could you pull the sheet up over me?
