Mirror Worlds and Parallel Universes
When I looked in the mirror today,
I saw a man trapped there,
With an eternity of never behind him.
There he was, unable to leave,
Unable to do anything,
Until I did it first.
And so I left, and he followed;
But as he followed he disappeared.
In that moment I mourned for him.
I had been his one companion,
And he had been mine.
But beyond that mirror,
When we parted ways,
Could it be that he was mourning me?
I saw a man trapped there,
With an eternity of never behind him.
There he was, unable to leave,
Unable to do anything,
Until I did it first.
And so I left, and he followed;
But as he followed he disappeared.
In that moment I mourned for him.
I had been his one companion,
And he had been mine.
But beyond that mirror,
When we parted ways,
Could it be that he was mourning me?
