Peaceful Purgatory
My stomach is full and warm
Black tea I leave to steep
The entire time I'm drinking
My mouth pouts pathetic
Cradling a white filter
Smooth and indifferent
In its hollow fulfilment
Its menthol curls
From my lips and lungs
And the tea's bitter bite
Rises in whirls of steam
Up from my tongue
That's that
Black tea I leave to steep
The entire time I'm drinking
My mouth pouts pathetic
Cradling a white filter
Smooth and indifferent
In its hollow fulfilment
Its menthol curls
From my lips and lungs
And the tea's bitter bite
Rises in whirls of steam
Up from my tongue
That's that
