Broken
She sits in her room
Quiet and helpless
Afraid of the world around her
Afraid of being hurt again
He caused so much pain
He left her in her time of need
She can no longer trust
He shattered her dreams
He broke her heart
She built a wall
She let him inside
She rebuilt those walls
But out of glass
He became bored
And shattered them
With one tiny pebble
He left her
The shattered glass
Cut and scarred
She's left with shards
Embedded in her skin
The memories may fade
But one sense
Can reel them back in
She can't forget
Their time together
She still loves him
And he doesn't care
She's broken
Quiet and helpless
Afraid of the world around her
Afraid of being hurt again
He caused so much pain
He left her in her time of need
She can no longer trust
He shattered her dreams
He broke her heart
She built a wall
She let him inside
She rebuilt those walls
But out of glass
He became bored
And shattered them
With one tiny pebble
He left her
The shattered glass
Cut and scarred
She's left with shards
Embedded in her skin
The memories may fade
But one sense
Can reel them back in
She can't forget
Their time together
She still loves him
And he doesn't care
She's broken
