Short Poems IV: Cohesion of Thought

I.
believe in the world
not human greed
materialistic divide
creating marginal need
for object indeed
instead momentary interaction
is subdued by you
drowned by the ring
of a text message

II.
peace and love
radical ideas
for those bent on hate
institutionalized slavery
for they shy from the light
and choose darkness instead

III.
none of us last
so why choose things
the want for green paper
as led us astray
reclaim your freedom
from materialistic entity
fight for the right
to love and be loved

IV.
introduce a little chaos
to a system of hate
fill their thoughts
with nothing but love
discard all their words
proclaiming free trade
for their monetary religion
begins with you

V.
look into the sky
see stars shinning bright
forget all your troubles
and breathe in the air
hope is alive
for those who choose
