There once was a princess
Dainty and sweet
She hoped for a prince
To sweep her off her feet
However this poor princess
Had a very different kind of fate
An evil lurked and took her
For its own desires to sate
And the princess was no longer
Dainty and sweet
And nor did she hope for a prince
To sweep her off her feet
Her world turned black
Gone the ribbons. The bows. The pink.
She wrapped herself in black
In steel armor without a kink
The princess's heart turned dark
A heart black and brittle
She turned cold as ice
For she had no hope not even a little
So when a handsome young prince
Entered her world with a heart full of care
She looked upon him and wondered
Could he be her prince? Would she even dare?
The princess loosened her armor of steel
And allowed the prince to bring in the light
She was amazed at his kindness and charm
Was this her true prince? Her saving knight?
She felt herself falling for him
Falling so so hard
But he wasn't there to catch her
And her heart once again was marred.
For her dear dear prince
He already had a lover he held so so dear
And the princess fell back into despair
For it had happened the thing she so did fear
Did the princess ever find her true love?
She has not
But she still is looking looking for her own prince
For true love can not be found unless it is sought.
