Lie To Me
Lie to me baby
Tell me that I'm your first thought
when you get out of bed
and your last before you fall asleep
Tell me that you love me
with all your heart
and soul.
That I'm your rock,
your hearth,
your home.
This is not the time for sincerity
And frankly,
honesty is over rated
Just look me in the eyes
and lie to me baby
Pull out all the stops
Be as cliché as you need
Do not confirm what my head is telling me
Do not affirm what my heart refuses to believe
Allow me dwell in this bliss a while longer
Do not take this illusion of us away from me now
Don't you rip my world apart
Not just yet
Armageddon can come later
But for now
Tell me that we'll be fine
Just, lie to me
one more time
Tell me that I'm your first thought
when you get out of bed
and your last before you fall asleep
Tell me that you love me
with all your heart
and soul.
That I'm your rock,
your hearth,
your home.
This is not the time for sincerity
And frankly,
honesty is over rated
Just look me in the eyes
and lie to me baby
Pull out all the stops
Be as cliché as you need
Do not confirm what my head is telling me
Do not affirm what my heart refuses to believe
Allow me dwell in this bliss a while longer
Do not take this illusion of us away from me now
Don't you rip my world apart
Not just yet
Armageddon can come later
But for now
Tell me that we'll be fine
Just, lie to me
one more time
