Once the music stops

Turning down the radio
No where left to play
Our song
It's been a long
Windy road
Not sure where
There's left to go
From hell and back
Our demons set
the stage
Slowly time ticks away
And I want so badly
For you to stay
But as the dawn
slowly fades
Into the shadows
So does your smile
It's a tragic realization
When you come to find
That love is lost
to memories
with the faded photographs
you cling to
From the days of wasted youth
and chasing dreams
That are long since gone.
The stars are out of reach
Just like your touch
Or is it the absence of
Your beating heart
That I miss so much?
We lost our rythem
to the dance
Now that our song is over
Whoever said no one ever
died of a broken heart
Ever had to stop
to listen to the silence
Once the music
has stopped
