Bright Singularities
We met on street corner,
Snowflakes kissing our virgin cheeks,
Our eyes met, a bright singularity.
We were strangers,
I don’t think that you remember me,
The man you saw on that cold night.
But I remember the tears on you cheeks,
Something that can only be covered by inattentiveness.
You allowed me in for that one moment,
You let me see past the façade,
Showed me the fractures in a crystalline structure.
It took me so long to find that same trust in you.
How is it that you trusted me more when I was that man passing you by in streets,
On a corner?
But you finally opened in my arms, accepted the help that I have been offering all along.
And we finally met again,
A bright singularity.
Strangers, no more.
Snowflakes kissing our virgin cheeks,
Our eyes met, a bright singularity.
We were strangers,
I don’t think that you remember me,
The man you saw on that cold night.
But I remember the tears on you cheeks,
Something that can only be covered by inattentiveness.
You allowed me in for that one moment,
You let me see past the façade,
Showed me the fractures in a crystalline structure.
It took me so long to find that same trust in you.
How is it that you trusted me more when I was that man passing you by in streets,
On a corner?
But you finally opened in my arms, accepted the help that I have been offering all along.
And we finally met again,
A bright singularity.
Strangers, no more.
