It Was....
At first it was all in the way their bodies moved, the way their eyes would greet each other during the push and pull of passion, but slowly it grew into something more, like a secret that only they knew
It was the way her words would reach through the bleakness of darkness and winter churning behind his steel blue eyes and fill his mind with summer skies; majestic white clouds softly drifting above an afternoon meadow breeze
It was how the way she said his name would ease calmly through the layers of hidden shame and make him feel he belonged somewhere again, if only in a passing moment
It was as if she could put her hand over his heart and the tangled chaos inside his soul would finally unravel from their endless knots and twist into letters that would spell words only meant for her.
