miscellaneous love

I tried to
     save
           you      
                 from
                       drowning,

but you held me beneath the water
to keep yourself
                                   afloat.

Steadily sinking further
down,
down,
down.
I will not escape this fate unscathed.
Cries for help suddenly silenced, muffled by your loving hand gripped tightly around my
mouth.
Asphyxiating in the depths of this raging ocean,
created
within the beating of our own two hearts.

Unsure if I will see the dawn of tomorrow,
while repeating three words engraved in my soul,

"I love you, I love you, I love you."
