In Your Eyes

I ask you now,
What do you see?
What words are conjured,
When you look at me?
Who am I?
What am I,
In your eyes?

Am I a friend?
Some good, to you?
Something valuable,
Please tell me if it's true.
M'I worth your time?
Worth all your time,
In your eyes.

Am I a monster?
A heretic?
An abomination,
You wish to be rid of quick?
Am I a freak?
Just another freak,
In your eyes.

I wish I knew
What you can see,
What you are thinking
When you look at me.
It's killing me.
The uncertain signs,
In your eyes.

I'm holding on.
Hoping somehow,
Something might come of us,
Here and now.
Can I belong?
Feels like I belong,
Here, in your eyes.
