Who Cares Anyways
The letter you wrote to me came in the mail today your handwriting slanting to the left small and precise
You tell me about your newest man that is now your past lover the way you've told me about men before
You ask how I'm doing and say you hope I'm fine and you ask if I'll write back and you say you'd love to hear from me
You tell me about the weather there and how the rain makes you cry
You ask if I'm still writing and I am and you want to see some of my pieces again
The letter ends with you saying you send your love and good wishes
I sit in this idle fancy looking over the paper before it goes to the trash.
