The devil's plea.
Someone!
Someone please take me to the river,
where the angels will cleanse my sins.
God and I, we've been fighting for too long
now.
All I want is absolution, forgiveness for my
deeds.
Someone!
Someone please call the ancient preachers, they will tell me the words of the bible and
bless me again.
My benediction, the benediction of the
devil.
All I want is to sing for God again and
return, return to his heaven.

A beautiful contrast to standard canon. A repentant devil is fascinating. Perhaps a bit closer attention to meter Would improve the piece. Otherwise, great ink. I loved the slant rhymes you used. X)
